Widows Sponsorship Program
The widows are a crucial part of building sustainable families with orphans. Sponsoring a widow for $40 a month provides them with needed health care, food and housing expenses. To assist them, ERM created a Microfinance Program which works to train widows with skills and knowledge to start a small business for income generating activities. The program will provide widows with the necessary loans and credit to establish a solid business. Coupled with other financial services, such as savings and insurance, widows who go through the ultimately become financially self sufficient. As an extra benefit, 98 % of all loans are repaid in full confirming the validity of the program and the value of self-sufficiency.
Through this program widows are enabled to better provide for their basic needs such as nutrition, education, health care and housing for themselves and their families rather than needing a handout.

Produce Truck Project
Through the generosity of our supporters we were able to purchase a produce truck that the widows are able to use to obtain fresh fruits and vegetables. These fruits and vegetables are then transferred to a market for resale or to their own homes for their family.

Goat Program
This project helps widows by giving them goats to use as a source of income, milk and food. We have a gallery of pictures of the first group of widows receiving their goats. We are very thankful for Kings High School in Seattle who raised 185 goats for orphans and widows!
Goats provide much of what families need. They provide milk and meat, but more importantly, they fertilize their crops naturally.
