Mission Trips and Volunteers

Missions Trips:

July Missions Trip is in Full Swing!

The July 2007 mission trip is being led by Adrian Cossette.  They will be working with Orphans and Widows during the trip. With the orphans they will be doing a variety of teaching activities. The widows will be more focused on microfinance projects.

Here's a picture of the team as they prepared to leave for Rwanda:

We will update this as more information comes available.

Previous Trips

Previously ERM has had three missions trips to Rwanda. The first was in 2004 with Multnomah Biblical Seminary professors and pastors who came to teach evangelist and pastors.

The second trip was in July of 2006 and consisted of two teams spending between two and six weeks in Rwanda. One team made of college students from different colleges around the Northwest. The second group was made up of primarily members of Central Bible Church with the addition of one member from Kentucky.  The teams spent time with all aspects of ERM's ministry, widows, orphans,  pastoral training, and hospital visits. They spent time in each region of the country and learned a lot about the people, history, and the lasting effects of the genocide.

In April of 2007 we sent our third team to Rwanda.  ERM worked with International Training and Equipping Ministries (ITEM) on pastoral training and other projects. ITEM was founded by Dr. Steve Van Horn. He specializes in training pastors and helping to equip them to do the work of ministry.  We also worked with Tentalents International from April 28th to May 10th.  They are working with us to raise funds for the van and other equipment to help our missionaries that come to Rwanda.  They are also working with us to sponsor another taxi for the orphans to use. We thank them very much for their heart and hard work.  They have been a blessing to us. We also distributed a hugely sucessful book that Emmanuel translated in Kinyarwanda. The title of the book is: Ubugingo bushya in ikinyarwanda(New life in English)

ERM has a great need for volunteers to come to Rwanda and work with widows, orphans, hospitals and conduct pastoral training.  If you feel moved by the Holy Spirit to invest your time in ERM's efforts within Rwanda please let us know how you can help us to fulfill our mission.
