We would like to introduce them to you, give you a little information about what they are doing, and ask you to Pray, Pray, Pray!

ERM has a team of 8 people traveling in Rwanda currently! We value the prayer of our partners and supporters, especially as we send teams to work in the beautiful country of Rwanda!

We value acts of mercy that build bridges of Christian love, reaching victims of genocide. Let us together rebuild what the enemy destroyed, and bring Hope to the country of Rwanda!

“Your ID card?” I reach in my shirt pocket and my thumb slips out my Congo student ID card. “You are not Tutsi, you are Congolese, go!” Before I could explain or show him my real ID card that says I am Tutsi, he shuffles me along. I walk away in a panic and board a plane. As I take my seat and gather my thoughts I realize I am the only passenger escaping certain death. The flight attendant tells the pilot there is just one man and we depart.

This morning at breakfast Steve Emerson shared a devotion that spoke to all of us. He shared about how it can often be frustrating to come to a place with so many needs and be overwhelmed. He reminded us that Jesus said, "The poor you will always have with you..." We can only do the small piece that God has called each of us to do. For us this week, it was helping the poor in Rwanda. He also read to us from the Last Chapter - Revelations. He reminded us that there will be a new Heaven and a new Earth. God is ultimately the victor, and there will be no poor, no suffering, no death and no tears. Praise God! What a great reminder as the team heads home.

Saturday we spent the day at Akagera national park. We got up bright and early and ate breakfast by 5:30am and were on our way by 6:00am.
Never in my life would i have thought that i’d be on an african safari, but about half way through the day i realized that i was doing just that. Crazy. We drove around the park over the bumpy roads and even got stuck in the mud at one point. [...]
