» Sew and Sew
Friday was an amazing and awesome. After speding the week doing projects and honing skills that the ladies already had, we split them up and did 5 different projects, based on their abilities. One group made ties (men’s ties are hard to get here, and expensive), a school jumper, a uniform shirt, a reversible handbag, and curtain samples. They had a ball! They were so excited about what they were doing that at the end of the day they were begging to stay and finish. We had to wrap it up and will have to complete the projects on Monday. They are getting the concept of being “professional”. We keep talking about it, making them re-do things at times, and check their stitching and such. These ladies will be able to teach each other what they learned today after we leave. It was a great day!
In other news. Arlene was sent to prison again. Pastor Deo took Arlene to the oldest prison in Rwanda to get permission to visit on Saturday. After meeting a tall, beautiful Rwandan women, who was the warden, she not only granted their request, but allowed Arlene to meet with 100 of the 500 women prisoners there. After sharing a message of God’s forgiveness, 55 women made decisions for Christ! Praise God!

God is surely blessing this ministry. Praying for continued stitching together of your hearts and minds, for your safe return.
