Pastor David Stevens
Board Member
David and his family were missionaries in France for 15 years before coming to Central Bible Church, in Portland, Oregon in the year 2000. David’s greatest joy in ministry comes from communicating God’s Word and seeing its impact in individual lives. His favorite language is French and his favorite sport is snow skiing. David and his wife Mary Alice have four children: Justin, Mary Lynne, and Rebecca (married to a previous CBC youth intern!). Their oldest son, Jonathan, entered his heavenly home in 2004. David is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary (1982) with a Masters of Theology. He also holds a Doctorate of Theology from the Faculté Evangélique de Vaux-sur-Seine near Paris, France.

Karen Pearson
Child Sponsorship Chair
Karen Person visited Rwanda as a member of the Central Bible Summer 2006 team. There, her heart was touched by the many orphans she met and by the inspirational testimonies of several widows. Karen is originally from St. Paul, Minnesota. Holding Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and Master of Architecture degrees, she works in architecture and is most passionate about building projects related to community development.

Dan Person
Secretary of the Board
I have been married to Teresa for 12 Years and we have 3 young daughters. We have been involved in Rwanda for a number of years by sponsoring a young girl there. I had come to know ERM through some friends who had been to Rwanda a number of times. I wanted to understand how ERM was impacting Rwanda so I went to Rwanda in September 2008 and found that ERM comes along side of those in need, bringing Hope where there has previously been none. ERM puts orphans and widows together building new families where the family structure had been torn apart. ERM is about supporting this new family and getting them training and skills to support themselves. ERM provides hope and opportunity and that is why we say, “restoring a people… rebuilding a nation”. This is a cause that I could get behind and support.

Tim Radmacher
Fundraising Chair
In Rwanda, as part of the Central Bible Summer 2006 team, I was touched by the heart of the people I met, by how much need existed, and what it was I felt like God had called me to do in support of the ministry of ERM. As an artist, I was inspired to express the things I had seen and felt through painting, but also wanted to see certain objectives that I envisioned for ERM come to fruition. I graduated from Portland State in Graphic Design, and have been working in web based reporting for the banking industry for the past 9 years.
Rwandan Committee Members
Our Rwandan team members are our eyes and ears on the grounds in Rwanda. They give effortlessly to the organization and are committed to ERM’s vision. They are responsible for running ongoing ground ministry activities and serving as the face of ERM.
